Rt. Hon. Aaron Mike Oquaye, MP (born April 4, 1944) is a Ghanaian politician and is the Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana.
Oquaye was sworn in as the Speaker of Parliament on 7 January 2017. A member of the New Patriotic Party, he was the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya from 2005 to 2013.
He was Ghana's High Commissioner to India, Minister of Energy ,Minister of Communications and a Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament .
The Speaker is assisted by two Deputy Speakers (First and Second Deputy Speakers), who are elected at the commencement of every Parliament.
They must come from different political parties. The current Speaker is Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye former MP for Dome-Kwabenya constituency of Ghana.
